Rainbow Ritual
Saturday morning chess and coffee,
our ritual right as rain
showers the flowers in deep soak,
long drink, soft steady chatter
skipping into sprinkles
slipping into winks and twinkles.
Outside the window
the backyard sparkles.
Greg says,
"There's the rainbow"
