Diana Tigerlily for President of the United States

Yes indeed.
Congratulations to you as You are the very first to read this historic and official launching of the
Diana Tigerlily for President of the United States 2012 Campaign.

My first order of business as your President: I will PAINT the White House.
Yes, fine people of America, I will paint the White House a Rainbow of Skin Tones, and during my Presidency, its new name will be the Diversity House.

My cabinet and staff, my cadre of political consultants and advisors, will be comprised of people representing every walk of life and way of walking in America. A person of every race, ethnicity, gender, sex, sexuality, class, geography, ability-range, age, will be present at my conference table speaking from their areas of expertise on social issues, foreign policy, technology, economy, education, health-care, environment.

Diana Tigerlily's List of Duties She Will Perform as President of the United States of America:

1) Bring all Troops Home and cut defense spending in half. The United States has enough weapons to explode the world ten times over. By cutting defense spending in half, the U.S. would still be able to blow up the world five times over, with enough money left over to invest in the following programs and services (detailed #2- 24)

2) Provide Health Care to every American, including returning veterans, who are suffering in record numbers.

3) Provide a College Education to any person desiring one.

4) Provide permanent shelter to every homeless person.

5) Provide Child Care for working parents

6) Increase funding to ensure an increase in Reproductive Education in schools and clinics in every city of every state. This would include educating adolescents and adult males and females on the entire spectrum of reproductive health and choices, beginning with the right NOT to have a child and moving through conversations on sex education, desire, intimacy, respect, diseases and prevention, birth control, pre-natal care, birthing options: including abortion, adoption, homebirth, water birth, clinic birth, hospital birth, birth with an O.B, a lay-midwife, a nurse-midwife, a doula, and postpartum care. This funding would also go to increasing the number of health care clinics so that people in rural areas and conservative urban areas will have access across geographically disparate terrains.

7) Create laws that support LGBTQ rights in every state, including marriage, adoption, immigration, job protection, and partner care and hospital visitation rights.

8) Update the language of the Equal Rights Amendment and then reignite a campaign for its passage.

9) Revise "Family Values" Language to include families of all configurations and kinships and religious denominations.

10) Protect civil liberties and civil rights.

11) Protect Affirmative Action

12) Get rid of the Patriot Act. Get rid of No Child Left Behind. Get rid of the Global Gag Rule.

13) Ban Depleted Uranium Weapons

14) Stop weapons production and proliferation.

15) Emphasize global dialogue and diplomacy

16) Hold war criminals accountable for their crimes, including torture.

17) Create a Living Wage Law

18) Create city infrastructures that will reduce the number of cars and thereby reduce the use of fuel. The building of these new infrastructures will also create jobs.

19) Shift to renewable sources of energy, also creating new jobs.

20) Tax Corporate Polluters

21) Reward Local Organic Farms with financial incentives.

22) Increase funding to all schools Pre-K through High School. Work with State Boards of Education to hire more teachers, reduce class size, and integrate Arts, Music, Movement, Poetry, and Foreign Languages into early education and elementary education curriculums.

23) Increase funding to school lunch programs. Incorporate local meat and produce, vegetarian and vegan options and a salad bar in every school.

24) Start a national dialogue on how to talk to each other with respect and how to listen with care.

This is just a preliminary to-do list. There are many more issues I intend to address that are not yet covered by this list. My campaign is about dialogue, so I welcome any suggestions, comments, questions, insights, etc. If I've any harshly glaring omissions on ideas for working toward an egalitarian world--which, I'm certain I do, since I've just now created this first-draft of a list--please let me know immediately. This land is our land, and it's currently under siege by a group of narrow minded hypocrites who do not have the interests of the great majority in mind. We need to act swiftly, smoothly, and efficiently. We need to visualize goodness and embody grace as we work toward a place where every body is treated with dignity.

Sincerely,
Diana Tigerlily
President of the United States of America, 2012

She's Queer Enough to Do it!"

Oh, sister, reading this was such a treat. "This is just a preliminary list ..." I love it. Can I work your campaign? Maybe as a trusted consultant or campaign spokesperson?
I love you.
